Call. Learn. Act.

Jackson County Oregon Criminal Defense and DUII Attorney Peter Carini

You call, text or email. Learn what needs to be done. Then do it.

Big grain of salt. Be careful educating yourself from information on web sites. It is all very general, some of it is old and stale, and some is just wrong. Face it. You are going to have to call an attorney. Most good judges will tell you that when you see them in court. So, why not do it now?

The first step is sometimes the most difficult. I have represented thousands of people charged with crimes over the past 20 years and the one thing that I hear is how humiliating it is for them to make their first telephone call to me. There is nothing that I can say that will change how you feel. But, I want you to know that I will not judge you. I guarantee that you will not regret speaking with me no matter what. I do not charge for the initial telephone session. You only pay if you decide to retain me to handle your case.

We can do everything over the telephone. Make the call from the comfort of your own home.  You will want to know what you should be doing now, if anything. You want to know if you have a case and if so, what it will cost to have me represent you. If you cannot afford me or another private attorney you will want to know about the public defenders and how that works. You want to know what the plea offer will be and how long the case will take, and whether you actually need a lawyer or can handle it yourself.

I will speak. You will listen. And then, you will think over the situation and will know what to do. This is the process that I have found always works. It will work for you. But, the first step is up to you and I appreciate how difficult that can be.

Shopping Around

You can expect a very productive 20-minute strategy session over the telephone. Office consultations are available as well. I will tell you everything you might want to know about your circumstance. You have tons of questions, & I have the answers. What could happen to me? Am I going to lose my license? Am I going to Jail? Should I fight my case or take a deal? How long will it take to get through this?
